I still remember when I first fell in love with designer handbags and this story is kind of embarrassing. Ok, really embarrassing! The first time I heard of Louis Vuitton was thanks to none other than Jessica Simpson. Yes, I just said that. It was an episode of Newlyweds when she took her beautiful Murakami Speedy camping with her (ladies,we all remember this!). I was 18 and I just had to have that bag. I didn't know how much these bags retailed for but I found one on ebay for $300.I saved up and bought it. I couldn't believe I was going to have the same bag as Jessica Simpson! Back then I didn't know they made fake handbags, I'd never even heard of "replica". Sure enough, after learning more about designers, I realized it was fake. I was heartbroken! I have since only purchased my designer things from the actual stores or Neiman Marcus/Saks. I'm not opposed to consignement but only from reputable sources like Malleries or my bestie Joanna at

(My very first LV purchase from Rodeo Drive.)

I don't really splurge on designer handbags or shoes too often. Usually only when I'm on vacation, which hasn't been in quite awhile.

(Last time I was in LA, couple years ago)

So for now a mommy can dream right?! At least until my vacation in November lol!

So what purse should I buy next???

#1-  Louis Vuitton "Christian Louboutin" Shopping Bag (photos from My two favorite designers teamed up to create one seriously amazing bag! Omg, just look at the inside of this bag. I'm drooling...

#2- Louis Vuitton Lilas Alma (photo from I actually almost bought this purse last year in Vegas and I've been kicking my self in the butt that didn't get it(instead I finally bought my Chanel Grand Shopping tote which happened to be the last one in all of Vegas at the time!). I wish I could find this bag since it is now discontinued! It's definitely the one that got away...

#3- Céline Micro Luggage Bag (photo from I'm not really a fan of small bags but this is just so perfect. I'm obsessed with this color, it really stands out. And I just adore the design and quality of Céline.

#4- Chanel Caviar Jumbo Flap Bag (photo from Chanel is one of those staples in a handbag collection. Every girl needs a Chanel bag! They're flap bags are classic and what better color than this beautiful popping pink!

#5- Louis Vuitton Retiro NM (photo from I love the classic Louis monogram (the first Louis I bought was a classic monogram bag and it has a special place in my heart, even though I'm not a fan of the Montorgueil anymore) The red trim on this just exudes sexy and elegance.

Snow, go the f*&% away!!!

Seriously! Will this snow ever end?! Last week it finally seemed nice out and Carter and I finally got to go for a little walk around the neighborhood.

(That pic was actually taken one nice day we had in January, pre Snowmageddon 2015!!!)

And then Saturday happened....

That snow isn't all from Saturday but it sure didn't help!

I just want to be able to go outside and walk around with Carter! We can't even let our dogs down in the back yard because they can literally walk right over the fence into the neighbors yards! Not to mention I missed a VIP sale at Forever 21 that was one day only! Hopefully that was the last storm and our little family can get some nice walks in!

Stay warm everybody!

Homemade Baby Food

I have been looking forward to this day since I was pregnant lol! I've been so excited to be able to make Carter homemade baby food.

A few weeks ago at his monthly visit our Dr. recommended we start feeding him vegetable purees since he still isn't gaining enough weight (along with breastfeeding of course, I have no plans giving that up). I was hoping to wait until he was at least 6 months but the Dr. said it wasn't a problem starting a month early.  We went and bought the baby bullet steamer that evening! You could steam without the baby bullet steamer but I'm a sucker for cute baby products! I mean just look at this thing!

I decided his first food would be carrots. They were so easy! I just cut them up into "baby carrots" sized pieces and threw them on the steamer for the recommended time (13 minutes). After they cooled I put them in my blender with some breast milk. You can also use formula or water. I always boil my water first if that's what I'm using to mix with. You can add more/less depending on your desired consistency.

I learned on Pinterest about pouring the puree into an ice cube tray and freezing for convenience. You just pop out a couple and microwave! It's so easy!

Carter didn't seem to really love or hate the carrots. Just indifferent. But a few days later when I made him Avocado...well that was pure love! He just wanted more and more! I made sure to try the same food for a few days before introducing a new type in case of any allergies.

Tonight I made him some sweet potato and some squash. The squash ended up being a bit more like squash soup, I put in a bit too much milk. I didn't steam the squash because I wasn't really sure how to do it so I just cut it in half, threw it in the oven for 30 minutes (rotating the tray halfway through) and blended once cooled.

We're having tons of fun trying all these new veggies, I can't wait to start mixing and coming up with some recipes!

Feel free to leave me some tips, comments, or recipes. We would love some ideas!

Carter's Room Tour!!!

My favorite room in our house is by far Carter's nursery! It's so beautiful! I've always called my fiancee my little lamb(he's gonna kill me for putting that in there!) and my little baby as my lambino while pregnant, so we just knew we had to have a little lamb theme! Hope you enjoy the photos (sorry the color is off in some of the photos...I still need to learn how to properly use my camera)!

A friend of mine painted this sweet little lamb for us. It's my favorite thing in his room! The "Shhh... baby dreaming" decal is from etsy!

Carter's Closet

I know it has been awhile since I last posted (1 month exactly). Carter and new life changes (more on this later!)  have been keeping me extremely busy! Carter's outgrowing all of his newborn clothes but his 3 months are still too big! Here's one of my favorite newborn outfits he has, too bad it's a bit small!

Everything is from Carter's! Yes, it's our favorite store!
